Named for its superior sandy beach, guests have enjoyed thesugar-sand shoreline and swimming area for generations. We are locatedon Squaw Lake, which is 785 acres — approximately three and one-halfmiles long by one mile wide. Because it is not on a chain, it’s apeaceful, freshwater lake that offers plenty to explore without a lotof boat traffic.

Known as a Class A muskie lake, it is also good for northern,walleye and crappie fishing. Kids enjoy fishing for small walleye andpan fish right off the ends of our two 85-foot, T-shaped docks. Thenthey bring them to dad to clean in the vintage screened fish-cleaninghouse at the lakefront.

Today, our resort offers seven unique lodging options on 45 acres ofproperty, with more than 500 feet of shoreline. Choose from our classiccabin, three deluxe cabins or three vacation homes. All have been newlybuilt or remodeled to offer modern conveniences. Each retains a vintagecharm.

Summer is our most popular season, so you must make reservationsearly to assure a spot. Our off-season rates apply in both the springand fall.
